Autumn Arrives with Rain: Weekend Weather Forecast for Portugal

Autumn begins this weekend, on Sunday, the 22nd, and it will bring rain to the whole country. Last night, the first showers arrived in the Central region of the country.

In Lisbon, the rain is expected to arrive this Friday and continue on Saturday, with minimum temperatures ranging between 15 and 17 degrees and maximum temperatures between 23 and 24, according to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).

On Sunday, there should be no rain, but the sky will be cloudy.

In Porto, showers are expected throughout the weekend. The minimum temperature may be slightly lower than in the capital, with thermometers potentially marking 13 degrees and the maximum not exceeding 19.

For the Algarve, showers are forecasted on Friday and Saturday, with a partly cloudy sky on Sunday. The minimum temperature should be around 15 degrees and the maximum 23.

In the Azores, it should not rain, but the sky will be partially cloudy, and temperatures will not exceed 25 degrees.

For Madeira, the forecasts are similar to those on the mainland, with showers expected throughout the weekend.

Today, in the municipality of Oliveira do Hospital, temperatures range between a minimum of 14ºC and a maximum of 24ºC.
