The guests had the opportunity to watch the film, talk to the painter and the documentary makers and accompany their discussions with Katogi Averov wines, in an evening with a nice, spring and creative atmosphere.
The documentary is now available on Katogi Averof’s official youtube channel.
It is a 30-minute film, directed by Antonis Symeonidis and Kalliopis Alexiadou, which follows the painter Giorgos Rorris painting the portrait of Evangelos Averof. For a period of approximately two and a half months, the course of creation is recorded, from the initial undertaking of the project and the preliminary work to the acquaintance and identification with the face that Giorgos Rorris is asked to paint. Through interviews and images from the archive, the film composes the portrait of Evangelos Averof and follows the first touches and the agonizing process, until the final completion of the work – which is now exhibited in the E. Averof Art Gallery in Metsovo.
Production by Katogi Averof SA, production execution by Reach the agency.
