Around 4.30 pm yesterday afternoon (21 February) a 50-meter avalanche broke off near the Bassano refuge. Firefighters from Vicenza and Treviso intervened on the spot, together with the Belluno Avalanche Team with the Alpine Rescue. Many cars were blocked in the area: in all a hundred tourists and hikers who only after 20.30, thanks to the opening of a passage, were able to leave the Bassano refuge and head towards the plain (photo Fire Brigade)
