Cosmetics and perfume manufacturer and retailer Avon is considering moving its production from Russia to Poland. This is stated in a company statement.

The company noted that their Russian factory operates not only in the Russian market, but also in Eastern Europe.

We are considering moving production to Poland to supply these markets.

At the same time, the transfer of production from Russia will entail short-term costs, and may also lead to long-term cost increases.

Among other things, the provision of components and supplies of raw materials, as well as finished products in Russia, may require additional measures from the company. Otherwise, the company may have problems in production.

Avon’s Russian plant is the second largest in Europe. Production is located in Naro-Fominsk, the company produces 800 items of products, including shampoos, gels, lotions, roll-on deodorants, cosmetic creams and perfumes.

Earlier, McDonald’s announced that all Russian restaurants of the chain will close on March 14. At the same time, the company noted that establishments could open in a month and a half.
