AvtoVAZ faced a temporary shortage of paints and varnishes, a company representative told Vedomosti. The questioned dealers of the brand also confirm the problem: according to them, now Lada cars can only be ordered in white, black and dark green colors. Availability of cars in other colors is possible “not earlier than March,” they say.
“We are in constant contact with suppliers in order to establish regular deliveries. AvtoVAZ is grateful for the support in this matter that the company receives from the relevant ministry. We expect to resolve this issue in the coming weeks,” said a spokesman for the automaker. Now AvtoVAZ and industry enterprises are working on various scenarios at the site of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, says a representative of the department: “The absence of some nomenclature items of paints and varnishes (LKM) does not affect the planned production volumes and is of a short-term nature. The situation will stabilize in the near future.”
