Prayagraj: Famous teacher Avadh Ojha has revealed about his political ambitions. Talking to a news channel, Ojha said- ‘In the last Lok Sabha elections, I had asked BJP for a ticket from Prayagraj but did not get it. Some BJP leaders asked me to contest from Kaiserganj but I had to contest from Prayagraj. Then I asked Congress to give me a ticket from Amethi. Initially they were ready but I don’t know what happened that they gave the ticket to Kishori Lal Sharma. I have no love for parties. I was just interested in contesting elections from some special seats. These included Prayagraj and Amethi seats.News 24 In an interview with , Avadh Ojha also discussed his talks with BSP and Mayawati. Ojha said- ‘After not getting a ticket from BJP and Congress, Behen ji again gave me an offer. I would like to thank her for this. Vishwanath Pal is the state president of UP BSP. He said that Behen ji wants you to contest the election from Phulpur on our ticket. This was her open offer to me. She did not make any kind of demand for this. As people say that BSP people ask for money to give tickets. She told me that we will support you with both man and money power. I personally thank Behen ji for this.’

‘Did not contest election from Kaiserganj because of my mother’

Avadh Ojha said that victory or defeat does not matter in politics. I am not a contractor. I am a teacher. Many people contested Lok Sabha elections five times but lost. In elections, you do not know whether you will win or not. At least you should have contested from somewhere. On the decision of not contesting from Kaisarganj seat, Avadh Ojha said that my mother had refused to do so. If I had got a ticket from Prayagraj, I would have given a good fight. I would have definitely challenged SP candidate Ujjwal Raman Singh, who is Revati Raman’s son, who has also won.
