International award nomination |
Emmy Party at Arff Castle
Köln – The Emmy Award is the most important television award in the world – and whoever gets it was (co-)decided in Cologne.
Juries from many countries determine their favourites, the Germans met at Arff Castle. Among the 48 film experts were stars like Lavinia Wilson (42, “Schoßgebete”) and Daniel Sträßer (34, “Tatort Saarbrücken”), and 160 guests celebrated with appetizers and cocktails.
Before that, the contributions (including those from Asia) for the international Emmy Award (awarded on November 21 in New York) had to be viewed for hours and three of the films had to be selected. The result then flows into the international overall nomination.
Incidentally, Anna Schudt (48, “Tatort”, 2018 best actress for her role as Gaby Köster) has already won the prize: “It’s sporty to watch films all day. It was exhausting, but also an honor and fun.”
Her husband Moritz Führmann (44), known from the crime scene “Nachtschicht” or the film “Harter Brocken 7”, says: “It was super inspiring for me today. Where else are there such good films?”
