Awarded the drafting of the urban integration project for the FGC line in Igualada
Ferroocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, FGC, has awarded the drafting of the construction projects for civil works and architecture for the elimination of the level crossing of the line located in Igualada and the urban integration of the route to the city station.

The drafting of the civil works construction project and the architectural project has been awarded to Ayesa for 438,000 euros and a drafting period of eleven months. The objective of this action, which has a budget of 31 million euros, is to bury the route as it passes through Igualada, from the Riera de Dena bridge to the station. The project also includes the expansion of this stop. In addition, the current level crossing on Montserrat Avenue will be eliminated.
Both projects will be based on the specifications of the information study that has already been approved. For the station, this report proposes the construction of an intermodal space in which the FGC line will converge with the bus lines, and with taxis, bicycles and other micro mobility services. Likewise, it is specified that the urban space left free on the surface must be recovered.
