Awarded the signaling of the duplication of the road between Pinar de Las Rozas and Las Matas, in Madrid

The contract includes the drafting of the project and the execution of the works, the tests and commissioning of the facilities

Adif gives new impetus to one of the most important actions of the Madrid Commuter Plan with the award, for an amount of 24.5 million euros, of the contract to provide signaling to the duplication of the track between Pinar de Las Rozas and You kill them.

This action includes the drafting of the project, the execution of the works, as well as the tests and commissioning of the safety installations on the four tracks that this section will have in the future, which is part of the Madrid-Hendaye line and the the Cercanas lines C-8, C-10 and C-3A. The project includes the control, command and signaling, energy and civil works installations and improves the reliability of the installations, as well as the quality and efficiency of the service.

Streamlining of nearby services

The contract, included in the Madrid Commuter Plan, will be executed by Siemens Rail Automation, within a period of sixty months: 7 correspond to the drafting of the project and 53 months to works and tests.

This section (5.5 kilometres) will have four tracks once the doubling of the track between the Pinar de Las Rozas junction and Las Matas station, already awarded by Adif for 58.3 million euros, is complete.

With this action, commuter services will be streamlined, which will run along the central tracks, and the speed of medium and long-distance and freight trains will be increased, which will run on the outer tracks.
