BRIXANONE. There are 60 athletes from Brixen who have particularly distinguished themselves for their abilities during the current year, bringing the name of Bressanone to the headlines. An important result for the sportsmen of the episcopal town who met in recent days in the rooms of the Astra cultural center in via Roma to celebrate their results and receive a recognition in memory of what was done. Athletics, handball, badminton, triathlon, climbing, swimming, dancing and sports dance: in all these disciplines and in many others, Brixen athletes and their coaches have achieved important successes at national, European and international level. A truly considerable number of deserving athletes and coaches who this year too the municipal administration wanted to thank by inviting them to the traditional reception before the end of the year.
In the ritual speech by the municipal sports councilor Andreas Jungmann, it was underlined how fundamental it is for the town of Bressanone to focus on young people and sport, “which are – the sports councilor wanted to underline – the point of reference for the future of our city”. “Thanks to the brilliant results achieved during the current year by the athletes of our city in the various sports categories, the name of Bressanone thus has the opportunity to make itself further known – underlined Jungmann – This year too the athletes, belonging to the various associations, they tried their hand at various sports disciplines ranging from swimming to badminton, through sports dance up to climbing, handball and athletics”.
