He said that any project that could have been launched in any region at the territorial level was redirected to the provinces affected by the earthquake, noting that among these projects are 16 proximity centers aimed at creating businesses and improving employability for the benefit of 40,000 beneficiaries.

Mr. Sekkouri stressed that the ministry took the opportunity of holding the annual meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Marrakech to launch these programs.

Regarding vocational training, the minister indicated that the number of trainees in the areas affected by the earthquake reached 35,000 people, adding that some establishments suffered material damage, particularly in Al Haouz.

Meanwhile, Mr. Sekkouri indicated that the stability of the workforce is one of the priorities discussed after the Al Haouz earthquake, noting that his department has received complaints regarding a number of companies.

He said that 32 companies in the Al Haouz region were directly affected by the earthquake, while 13 companies were impacted in Chichaoua and 39 in the prefecture of Marrakech, noting an increase in employers’ declarations regarding the absence of workers.
