Axel Truhchev, a French player with Bulgarian roots who has returned to Burgas, is the new captain of “Neftokhimik”.
This was announced by the president of the club Ognyan Tomov.
The captain recorded a special video message for the club’s official website for the fans he is expecting at “Arena Burgas” on October 9 for the first official match of the season – the first 1/32-final for the “Challenge Cup” against the Greek “Kifisia”, which he presented officially as a new addition, the five-time champion with the “petrochemists” Georgi Petrov.
“I am very happy to be back in Bulgaria, and in particular in Burgas. I can’t wait to start the season with this very good team that we have made. It will be a very interesting season for us. We also have attractive matches coming up in “Arena Burgas ” and elsewhere against value teams. Because of the many important matches that are not coming up, this season will be so interesting.
