Iraq’s Ayman Hussein Named Best Player in Iraq-Japan Match
The technical committee of the Asian Cup has chosen the Iraqi national team striker, Ayman Hussein, as the best player in the Iraq-Japan match.
Hussein earned the award after contributing to the Iraqi team’s victory by scoring two goals in the first half before leaving the match in the second half.
The first half ended with the Iraqi team leading Japan by two goals to none. The two goals were scored by the Iraqi team striker Ayman Hussein in the 5th minute – 45+4.
For his part, player Ayman Hussein said in a press statement after the match, “We were confident of winning against Japan, and all our players are ready to reach the final match and compete to win the title.”
The Iraqi national team defeated its Japanese counterpart 2-1 in the second round of Group 4 of the Asian Football Cup. With this victory, Iraq topped Group 4 with six points.
