Canadian Bianca Andreescu emerged victorious in the first-round clash between Grand Slam winners against Belarusian Victoria Azarenka beaten 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 at Roland Garros on Tuesday evening.
Azarenka (18th), twice victorious at the Australian Open (2012 and 2013), nevertheless led by a set and a break, 3-1 in the second set, before Andreescu, winner of the US Open 2019, come back in the game by lining up five games to equalize at one set everywhere.
