In order to expand bilateral relations and exchange experience in the tax field between Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, a delegation consisting of employees of the Main Directorate of the Tax Ombudsman Service under the State Tax Service, the Main Directorate of International Taxation and Tax Monitoring, the Main Legal Department, the Main Directorate for Taxpayer Services, the Main Department for Administrative Complaints and other structures under the Ministry of Economy visited the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia.

According to the information, during the visit a number of meetings were held with senior officials of the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency. During the meetings, the delegation of the State Tax Service made presentations related to national experience. The presentations provided information about the services provided by the tax administration of Azerbaijan, methods for determining the level of taxpayer satisfaction, assessing and improving the quality of services, main performance indicators in this area and mechanisms for verifying the compliance of actual indicators. Bulgarian colleagues were brought to the attention of information about the application of the principles of customer focus in the State Tax Service, the activities of the user experience laboratory (UX-Lab), and the proactive and situational services being created.
In addition, State Tax Service employees got acquainted with the Iztok service center of the National Revenue Agency. An exchange of experience took place in the field of resolving judicial and pre-trial disputes, consideration of administrative complaints, servicing taxpayers, desk tax audits and other areas.
It should be noted that the visit took place within the framework of the activities of the newly created working group between the tax services of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria.
