Azerbaijan and China discussed the possibilities of introducing environmentally friendly technologies.
As Day.Az reported on Tuesday, Azerbaijani Minister of Economy Mikail Jabbarov wrote about this on social network X.
“During the meeting with Ivan Cao, Deputy General Director of the Chinese company BYD for Central Asia, areas of cooperation between our country and the company, the implementation of joint projects and the possibility of introducing environmentally friendly technologies were discussed,” the publication says.
It should be noted that earlier, during the visit to China of the delegation headed by First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev, a number of business meetings were held, during which the use of environmentally friendly transport in Azerbaijan was discussed.
During the visit, the delegation met with the management of enterprises producing cars in China and got acquainted with the production activities of the factories. The meetings provided information about the favorable business environment in Azerbaijan and the opportunities created for investors.
It was noted that improving energy efficiency, developing renewable energy and industries related to this sector are among the country’s main priorities. Azerbaijan has ample opportunities for creating specialized enterprises in this area. Representatives of Chinese companies were informed about the measures being taken in the field of green technologies and the use of environmentally friendly transport in the country, it was emphasized that there are broad prospects for business initiatives, as well as opportunities for joint projects.
