Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of cybersecurity, Day.Az reported on Wednesday.

According to the Electronic Security Service (ESS) of Azerbaijan, a meeting was held with a delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic, headed by Deputy Minister of Digital Development Klim Omelchenko.

The meeting discussed Azerbaijan’s experience in establishing a national CERT and establishing cooperation with international organizations, as well as opportunities for cooperation between cybersecurity agencies, information exchange and increasing human resources.

It is noted that representatives of the World Bank and the International Telecommunication Union also took part in the discussions.

It is emphasized that the parties agreed to establish international cooperation and hold regular meetings in this direction.

Let us recall that in January-June 2024, information and communication enterprises in Azerbaijan provided services worth 1.618 billion manats (an increase of 12.2 percent over the year), 74.5 percent of these services were provided to the population.
