Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met and discussed with the Minister of Environment, Climate and Energy of the Republic of Slovenia Bojan Kumer the possibilities of expanding existing ties in various energy sectors.

This was reported on Thursday by Day.Az with reference to the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan.

“The meeting discussed issues included in the agenda of bilateral and multilateral energy cooperation between the countries, including natural gas and renewable energy sources. As part of expanding cooperation and promoting Slovenia’s energy security, the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between SOCAR and Geoplin in the field of gas supplies, signed on June 17 in Baku, was emphasized,” the statement said.

The Slovenian minister provided detailed information about his country’s energy system and energy transition plans.

Parviz Shahbazov spoke about industrial green energy projects and plans for the export of renewable energy, which are being implemented in Azerbaijan with international partners through private investment.
