On October 8-9 this year, the Azerbaijan Forum of Halal Business and Tourism (AZHAB Forum) will be held for the first time in Baku. The forum was organized with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Agency for Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The event is held with the support of Caspian Event Organizers LLC, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the International Association of Islamic Business, the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD), the Center for Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), the Institute of Standards and Metrology of Islamic Countries (SMIIC).
The forum, which will last two days, is aimed at creating new connections in the field of investment and trade, exchanging ideas and experience, as well as attracting foreign investment to Azerbaijan.
The event will consist of two parts: a conference and an exhibition. The conference will discuss development prospects in such areas as food, tourism, finance, etc., as well as standardization issues. During the conference there will also be panel discussions where participants will be able to exchange experiences. The exhibition part of the forum will present goods and services produced by Azerbaijani and foreign companies.
The forum will be attended by officials, experts, representatives of academia, international organizations and the business community from about 20 countries.
