Activities are ongoing to return funds received from the export of agricultural products to the country.
The Prosecutor General’s Office reported this, Day.Az reports.
It was noted that based on information received from the State Customs Committee that some business entities exporting various types of products to foreign countries do not return funds in the appropriate currency to the Republic of Azerbaijan, criminal cases are being initiated by the prosecutor’s office and a preliminary investigation is being conducted.
Until now, as a result of measures taken by the prosecutor’s offices of Agdash, Kurdamir, Astara, Ujar, Absheron, Khachmaz, Beylagan, Khizi, Sabirabad, Goranboy, Agstafa districts and the city of Mingachevir, a portion of the funds received has been returned to the accounts of authorized banks in our country a number of business entities from the sale of agricultural products exported abroad for an amount of more than 41.3 million US dollars (more than 70.2 million manats at the exchange rate of the corresponding period).
The prosecutor’s office continues to carry out the necessary procedural measures to return funds received by various persons as a result of the export of goods and products to the accounts of authorized banks in the country.
It was recently reported that Azerbaijan is fighting against non-return of export proceeds.
