The Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan issued a statement regarding unfounded information published in media resources of Armenia and a number of other countries, Day.Az reported on Saturday.
The statement says that the media resources of Armenia and a number of other foreign countries are spreading far from reality, unfounded information about the alleged use of the territory of Azerbaijan for military purposes against a third state.
The agency notes that this is part of systematic disinformation attacks against Azerbaijan, and emphasizes that it regards the circulation of false information, contrary to the professional and international ethical values of the media, as another unsuccessful attempt to cast a shadow on the international reputation of Azerbaijan.
The agency calls on media entities and journalists not to use information from unknown sources and to be principled in relation to any manifestations of disinformation attacks directed against Azerbaijan.
