“We strongly condemn the military provocation of the Armenian armed forces against the departure point from the Lachin state border on June 15, which resulted in the injury of a soldier of the State Border Service.” This was stated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
This military provocation, in addition to being an aggression against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, aims to hinder the successful operation of the border crossing point on the Azerbaijani side, the safe, free and unhindered passage of Armenian residents, as well as the movement of the Lachin road.
This military provocation by Armenia, which cannot digest the free movement of Armenian residents from the exit point without any difficulty, is a clear example of Armenia’s lack of interest in building relations with Azerbaijan and the peace process.
“Such military provocations by Armenia will be resolutely prevented, and attempts by Armenia to prevent the reintegration of Armenian residents of Azerbaijan into our society will fail.
We call on the international community to strongly condemn this provocation by the Armenian side and to deter Armenia from aggressive actions that threaten peace and stability in the region,” the statement concludes.
