The works “Myriads” and “Impression” by the honored artist of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mehriban Efendi represent Azerbaijan at the international exhibition Surrealism Now, held at the Mafra Palace in Portugal.
As Day.Az reports, in this palace-museum, considered one of the pearls of UNESCO, until February 29 there will be an exhibition displaying the works of 125 surrealist artists from 52 countries. The opening took place on February 5th. Due to numerous requests from fans of surrealism, it was extended.
The director of this exhibition is the famous Portuguese artist Santiago Ribeiro, who presents the exhibitors individually to the general public.
Founded in 2010 under the leadership of the Bisaya Barretto Foundation, Surrealism Now brings together 56 professional artists from 31 countries, representing the European surrealism movement in the world. Every year, exhibitions of the works of surrealist artists are held in various museums and galleries around the world.
