Azerbaijani goods will reach Sri Lanka and India

A project has been launched to export Azerbaijani goods to the markets of Sri Lanka and India through the portal “Azexport” and “MeetUp Networking Club”, which are operators of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.

As Day.Az was informed on Monday at the Center, for this purpose a meeting was held with a representative of the importing company operating in the Sri Lankan market, Thani Shyen.

“At the meeting, negotiations were held on promoting a group of agricultural products and food products produced in Azerbaijan to a network of markets in Sri Lanka and India. Legislative requirements for operations such as certification, customs, logistics and insurance of export procedures were explained. Head of the portal “Azexport” Aykhan Gadashev held an online presentation of Azerbaijani goods. Then a tasting of agricultural products grown in Azerbaijan was held and the possibilities of their sale in the markets of Sri Lanka and India were discussed.

It is planned to continue meetings of the representative of the importing company Tanya Chien at the enterprises of companies operating in the agricultural sector and engaged in food production.

It should be noted that at the initial stage, various fruit juices, compotes, tomato paste, hazelnuts, pomegranates, dates, quinces, plums and pears, as well as dried fruits will be supplied to retail chains in Sri Lanka and India. Entrepreneurs interested in cooperation in this direction can submit their proposals through the Azexport.az portal and MeetUp Networking Club, the Center said in a statement.
