The Turkish Open Taekwondo Championship starts on February 9 in Antalya.

As reported by İdman.biz, at the five-day competition the Azerbaijani national team will test its strength in the wrestling of adults and youth.

The head coach of the men’s team, Mamed Abdullayev, will give Javad Agayev (74 kg) and Milad Beygi Kharchegani (+87 kg) a chance to perform in the fraternal country.

The head coach of the women’s national team, Sun Mi Park, will test the strength of Minaya Akbarova, Maryam Mamedova, Zemfira Hasanzade, Samarrukh Osmanova (all 49 kg), Saida Aliyeva (57 kg) and Fatima Medzhidova (67 kg) in Turkey.

The main team will hold matches on February 13-14.

Head coach of the youth team Rashad Mamedov and senior coach Vurgun Jafarov will bring to the championship Huseyn Abbasly (148 cm), Murad Janaliev (152 cm), Ali Hasanzade, Said Feyzullaev (both 156 cm), Anar Abdullazade (160 cm), Rasif Hajiyev (164 cm), Novruz Aliyev, Amirabbas Fazlishahgoli (both 168 cm), Chingiz Hasanov (172 cm), Sarkhan Talibzade (176 cm), Zeinab Safaralieva (144 cm), Fatima Zeynalova, Rugaiya Alieva (both 148 cm), Maryam Jafarova, Inji Muradov (both 152 cm), Lyaman Manafova, Fatima Ibishova (both 156 cm), Gulnar Rasulzade, Gyulay Aliyeva (both 160 cm), Turkan Yuniszade (164 cm) and Gulnaz Abdullaeva (168 cm). This age group will take part in the tournament on February 9-10.

The chief judge of the Federation, Gundyuz Abdullayev, and international category judges, Aigul Abdullayeva and Etibar Ibragimov, will also take part in the competition.

The team will be headed by the Vice-President of the Federation Niyamaddin Pashayev.

Let us note that the youth team will leave for Antalya today, and the adult team on February 12. Both teams will return to Baku the day after the fights.
