Azerbaijani trampolineists Huseyn Abbasov, Nijat Mirzayev and Mehdi Aliyev performed in the qualifications of the World Cup in trampoline and tumbling in Baku, Day.Az reported on Friday.

In the qualification of individual trampoline jumps, Huseyn Abbasov took 50th place with a score of 53.980 points, Nijat Mirzayev received 52.650 points from the judges and was in 53rd position, and Mehdi Aliyev took 57th place with a score of 49.300 points.

Tomorrow, on the second day of competition, Huseyn Abbasov and Nijat Mirzaev will perform in the qualifying competition of synchronized trampoline jumping.

Let us recall that Azerbaijani gymnast Seljan Mahsudova previously reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in the individual trampoline program.

It should be noted that the World Cup in trampoline and tumbling will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku on February 23-25. Gymnasts from 32 countries take part in the competition.

The World Cup in Baku serves as a qualifier for the 2024 Olympic Games for individual trampoline gymnasts.

In the trampolining competition among women, Azerbaijan is represented by Seljan Mahsudova, among men by Huseyn Abbasov, Nijat Mirzayev and Mehdi Aliyev.

The country is represented in acrobatic jumping competitions by Mikhail Malkin, Adil Hajizadeh, Tofig Aliyev, and Bilal Gurbanov.
