Azerbaijan’s aviation industry has experienced significant growth in recent decades.

As reported on Friday by Day.Az with reference to Trend, this was stated by Boeing Managing Director in Turkey and Central Asia Aysem Sargin at the graduation ceremony of the ThinkYoung Coding School, organized by the non-profit organization ThinkYoung in partnership with the aerospace company Boeing.

“I am pleased to be here today because this event marks Boeing’s first involvement in the public life of Azerbaijan, as well as the first initiative we are taking in the Caspian Sea region and Central Asia,” she emphasized.

Ayshem Sargin mentioned that the Azerbaijani government and the private sector have invested heavily in infrastructure and aircraft fleet.

“This is an important market for Boeing, and Azerbaijan has great potential for development, including in aviation. The coding school that we implemented in Azerbaijan together with our partner, Think Young, is a unique program that prepares students for the future by developing their digital skills,” she added.

It is worth noting that from July 22 to 26, ThinkYoung and Boeing held their first coding school classes in the Caspian region and Central Asia.

As part of the program in Baku, Azerbaijani schoolchildren aged 10 to 17 took coding classes, including lessons on website and game development.

In addition to in-demand digital skills, students also learned English and acquired skills that will help them in future careers in technology, aviation and other STEM fields.
