Azilal Province: Mr. Benmoussa visits schools affected by the Al Haouz earthquake

Accompanied by the governor of the Azilal province, M’hamed Atfaoui, the director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training of the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, Mustapha Slifani, the provincial director of National Education in Azilal, Fouad Badis and several civil and military figures, Mr. Benmoussa went to the Demnate high school in the commune of Demnate where he learned about the measures taken to ensure the smooth running of studies in this school establishment partially damaged by the disaster.

On this occasion, the Minister was informed about the measures taken to continue classes under normal conditions, in particular, the installation of modular buildings and the continuation of classes in undamaged classrooms following the report of the technical commission, in addition to the use of other spaces to ensure educational continuity for the benefit of students.

Subsequently, Mr. Benmoussa and the delegation accompanying him visited the Ait Moussa community school in the commune of Ait Oumdis, which temporarily accommodates students from the Ait Oumdis college, seriously damaged by the earthquake, before going to the Ait Oumdis college where the minister learned about the extent of the damage caused by the earthquake and which required the closure of this establishment.

In this context, the Minister took note of the measures taken to ensure that students in these establishments continue their studies in safe and healthy conditions within the host establishments.

In a statement to the press, Mr. Benmoussa stressed that this visit was an opportunity to see the damage caused by the earthquake on several establishments, noting that the efforts made by the supervisory ministry made it possible to converge towards solutions for the immediate resumption of classes, particularly for baccalaureate students.

Mr. Benmoussa recalled the various measures taken in this regard, in particular, the establishment of prefabricated units to ensure conditions conducive to the schooling of students, noting that the measures taken also concerned the transfer of students to other establishments as well as the school transport of apprentices in close coordination with local authorities while awaiting the reconstruction of damaged establishments.

During this tour, Mr. Benmoussa held a series of meetings with the administrative and educational staff of these establishments to discuss the progress of the courses and the reception conditions of the different students.
