Commune of Ait Taguella (Azilal) – A memorandum of understanding for the training of young people in the Ouzoud region in digital professions and specialties was signed on Tuesday evening in Ouzoud, with the aim of promoting the socio-economic integration of young people in this region.

Initialed by the President of the Sawt Al Jabal Foundation for Heritage and Sustainable Development, Bahija Simou, the Minister Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, Ghita Mezzour, the Director General of Maroc Numeric Cluster, Chafik El Ouriaghli and the representative of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG), Mehdi Kettani, this memorandum of understanding aims to train young people in the Ouzoud region in digital professions in order to promote their employability in the digital field and to promote the socio-economic development of the region. Signed on the sidelines of the opening of the 2nd edition of the Ouzoud International Mountain Film Festival, this memorandum is part of the generalization of the “JobinTech” program, which aims to train 15,000 young people in digital professions across the different regions of the Kingdom by 2026. This program is based on an offer of free intensive and qualifying training spread over periods of 3 to 6 months, an initiative supervised by the Ministry of Digital Transition in partnership with the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion and managed by Maroc Numeric Cluster. These training courses integrate theoretical and practical skills, covering areas such as software development, data analysis, and artificial intelligence. This program aims to develop a talent pool, support the national digital ecosystem and offer young people opportunities to strengthen their employability through reskilling and upskilling training. In a speech, Ms. Mezzour stressed that this memorandum of understanding aims to support and motivate young people in the region by placing them at the heart of digital dynamics and to strengthen their integration into the labor market. Highlighting the skills of young people in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region, Ms. Mezzour said that the region has strong development potential in digital professions as it has demonstrated its great know-how in areas such as programming and computer coding. For her part, Ms. Simou recalled that the signing of this memorandum aims to promote the employability of young people in the region by training them in areas with high added value, noting that due to the exacerbation of the phenomenon of water stress, the search for new alternatives capable of improving the socio-economic level of this mountainous region is essential. The signing of this memorandum of understanding is part of the strategic vision aimed at placing human resources at the heart of the Kingdom’s digital transformation and promoting the professional integration of young people, in accordance with the High Royal Directives calling for accelerating the pace of digital transformation. The second edition of the International Mountain Cinema Festival opened on Tuesday evening in Ouzoud, with the participation of a host of Moroccan and foreign filmmakers.
