Held under the theme “The role of the oceans in achieving food security”, this event organized in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Communication, and in partnership with the association Les amis de la mer , the National Aquatic Sports Club and the Aït Oussa association for development and cooperation, aims to raise children’s awareness of the importance of clean beaches and the sea and the fight against plastic pollution.

To this end, interactive and fun workshops were held for the benefit of children, covering a wide range of subjects linked to the marine environment.

These include, in particular, tourist diving, offering children a glimpse of the underwater world to highlight the importance of its preservation; the concepts of sustainable fishing and the blue economy. It was also a question of raising their awareness of the responsible exploitation of marine resources and biodiversity, by raising their awareness of the richness and fragility of ocean ecosystems.

The workshops also focused on the different types of waste that threaten the oceans, introducing children to the principles of recycling, particularly that of plastic waste.
