The inspectors also came across an unregistered shop
The Regional Directorate for Food Safety (ODBH)-Plovdiv suspended the activity of an illegal production site for sausages and a shop in city of Rakovsky in a joint action with the police and the National Narcotics Agency.
During a surprise inspection, it was found that in a private property there are separate rooms with refrigerators for the production of meat products from red meat, it was reported by BABH. Frozen beef was found in and in front of the refrigerators meat, frozen bacon, chilled kebabs, chilled minced meat, chilled meatballs, sausage in casing, sausage in casing, jars of cooked pork, totaling 648 kg and spices totaling 26.5 kg. The foods are without labels, without identification marks and without documents of origin. The object is not registered, according to the Food Act.
For the established violations, the owner was served with an order to stop the entire activity, a prohibition order, an order to direct the destruction of the food available at the site, as well as an invitation to draw up an act to establish an administrative violation.
In the course of another inspection at a shop-type establishment, it was found to be operating without registration under the Food Act. No expired food was found at the facility. The operator was issued an act for establishing an administrative violation and an order to stop the entire activity.
