Babar, who is number one in the ODI and T20 rankings, achieved his career-best rating of 874 points and reached the third position in the Test rankings. English player Joe Root is on the first position with 923 points. Australia’s Marnes Labuchane is in second place with 885 points. The batting excellence in the Test series against Sri Lanka helped the Pakistan captain. Pakistan were all out for 218 runs in the first innings, while Babar scored 119 runs.
