A three-year-old boy struggles to survive in the sun for six hours on a bus at a child welfare center in Australia. The incident took place in Queensland on Wednesday.
The baby was found on a bus outside the Le Smileys Early Learning Center in Grasmere, near Rockhampton. The regional meteorological office said the weather was 29.2 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.
The Guardian reports that the baby, Austin, was immediately taken to a local hospital and later airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital.

“The baby boarded the bus at 9 a.m. and was found unconscious at 6 a.m. The only child on the bus was Austin.
When the children returned to the health center, the driver and another person on the bus left without seeing Austin. Later, staff found him on the bus. He was taken to a treatment center and given CPR treatment. “
Describing the treatment given to the child, the hospital staff said, “The paramedics brought the child to consciousness before he was taken to a local hospital in Rockhampton.”
