Cacophony in education. If the results of Bac 2023 have already been published in Mahajanga, Antsirananana and Fianarantsoa for a few days, the situation is getting worse in Antananarivo. The deliberation scheduled to take place on August 17 was simply postponed.
Thousands of correcting teachers, present in front of the Cathedral of Medicine, at the University of Ankatso, did not want to enter the room where they should have decided on the average of the admitted. Once again, the issue of payment for vacations was at the heart of the problem. No session, no deliberation, insist the correctors.
Tired of repeated late payments, the correctors put pressure on the authorities, but once again it is the students who are penalized. For the Bac 2022, the correctors received their vacations last May.
Usually before the deliberation, the posting concerning the vacation cash receipt numbers, route orders or even travel expenses is published, this was not the case this year, all the more reason to accentuate mistrust teachers.
One problem chasing another, new graduates will also have to face another problem, especially if they plan to join public universities. Indeed, the University of Antananarivo is still closed following another problem of payment of sessions, this time concerning teacher-researchers and teacher-researchers. The latter harden their movement and even plan to hold a sit-in on the university esplanade this Friday.
