The season is over, now it is possible (really) to celebrate. A day after the disappointing loss in the state cup final, Maccabi Haifa officially celebrated the 14th championship in the club’s history tonight (Wednesday). The actors took the stage one by one, which was set up in the plaza outside the Sami Ofer Stadium. According to police estimates, about 25,000 fans came to celebrate the title with the players, professional staff and management.
Alongside the players, who came and joined the fan songs that filled the expansion, also appeared three: singer Benya Barbie (who performed with the players the championship song, “My Green” and also the hit from the stands – “Who will not come”, who originally sang with Avraham Tal), the rapper Peled (who sang his championship song) and also singer Sarit Hadad. Another person who excelled in singing was coach Barak Bachar, who sang with the audience the song “Green in the Eyes” (the championship song from 1994 written by the late Uzi Hitman and performed by Haim Moshe Yavdal “).
At the beginning of the evening, President Yaakov Shachar and the Mayor of Haifa, Einat Kalish-Rotem, who greeted the audience, also spoke. Shahar said: “We took four titles this year. One is the championship. The second is the champion of champions. The third is the Toto Cup. And the fourth title: We are the team with the best crowd in the country. You give us a real feeling, in every stadium and away game. It is unconventional. We You are very much appreciated, and it has a significant part in all those three degrees. “
