Bad Bunny Setlist: Puerto Rico Residency – Night 1

by Sofia Alvarez

San Juan, July 12, 2025 — Bad Bunny launched an unprecedented residency series, “No Me Quiero Ir De Aquí,” at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot (El Choli) on Friday night, marking the first time an artist has headlined 30 shows at the iconic venue, which holds 18,000 people.

A Historic Homecoming for the ‘Benito’

The Puerto Rican superstar, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, delivered an electrifying performance to a sold-out crowd, seamlessly blending reggaeton, Latin trap, and traditional Puerto Rican folk music. The opening night wasn’t just a concert; it was a vibrant celebration of his culture, highlighted by a stage design that included a quaint, traditional Boricua home.

What makes this residency so unique? Bad Bunny is the first artist to commit to a 30-show run at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico, solidifying his status as a cultural icon and boosting the island’s entertainment profile.

Reggaetón pioneer Ivy Queen enthusiastically voiced her support on Bad Bunny’s Instagram post announcing the residency, writing in Spanish, “Show them from the start where the gladiators were born! Proudly representing from the heart of the neighborhood…Historic moment, my chick stepping up with pride and showing off what it means to be Puerto Rican!”

Limited Access, Lasting Impact

The first three weeks of the residency, from July 11–27, are exclusively for Puerto Rico residents, before opening to tourists. This phased approach aims to prioritize local fans and create an initial wave of excitement within the community.

Jorge L. Pérez, General Manager of Coliseo de Puerto Rico, emphasized the residency’s potential economic impact, stating, “This will position Puerto Rico as a premier entertainment destination. It will open the eyes of visitors who have never come to Puerto Rico and create awareness of Puerto Rico as an entertainment and leisure destination.”

For those planning to attend, a comprehensive travel guide is available to help navigate the experience.
