Bae Dong-hyun, head of the Korean delegation to the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games (Chairman of the BDH Foundation), arrived in Paris, France, where the 17th Paralympic Games will be held, with the main delegation on the 21st to conduct a final check on the team’s pre-training status and the athletes’ condition, and met with and encouraged the athletes in each event.
First, Team Leader Bae visited the Susi-en-Brie Tennis Court to inspect the team training at an external sports facility, where he inspected the stroke and physical training environment of the wheelchair tennis players, as well as other current conditions. He then moved to the Robert-Oubron Gymnasium to meet the badminton players and observe and encourage their training process.
After completing his inspection of external sports facilities, Director Bae moved to the pre-camp set up at Maison de Handball in Creteil, southeastern Paris, France, to inspect the training status of each team and had an encouragement dinner with players from goalball, boccia, table tennis, and weightlifting who were in the midst of pre-local training and final conditioning management.
On the 23rd, Director Bae visited the athletes’ village to inspect the facilities and presented them with an amenity set manufactured in Korea to help the athletes maintain the best condition in a comfortable environment.
Meanwhile, the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games are set to open on the 28th, with 83 athletes competing in 17 events, the largest number ever, over 12 days. The Korean team is focusing on its final training in Paris with the goal of entering the top 20 in the overall rankings.
