/ Tahrir Square, in central Baghdad, and many other areas of the Iraqi capital, witnessed great celebrations by sports fans for the national team’s victory over its Vietnamese counterpart and topping its group in the Asian Cup.

Agency’s camera documented the celebrations of the fans who lived the moments of the match and the “dramatic” Iraqi victory over the Vietnamese team, and their interaction with every goal, especially with the last goal by Ayman Hussein in the last moments of the match.

The crowds raised the Iraqi flags and launched extensive celebrations, during which they chanted slogans and sports chants praising the team and calling for repeating the 2007 achievement and winning the Asian title.

The Iraqi team topped Group 4 with 9 points, followed by Japan with 6 points, then Indonesia in third place with 3 points, and Vietnam in fourth place without obtaining any points.
