Baghdad Governorate announces the start of implementing the strategic Sabaa Al-Bour sewerage project

Baghdad Governorate announced today, Sunday, the start of implementing the Sabaa Al-Bour sewage project, which is considered one of the important and vital projects.

The governorate stated in a statement received by the (INA), that “this project, which comes under the direction and field follow-up of Baghdad Governor Abdul Muttalib Al-Alawi, is one of the important projects that consists of four joint pumping stations (rainwater, sewage) with a discharge capacity of 44 cubic meters per day.”
She added, “The project is supervised by the staff of the Baghdad Governorate Sewerage Directorate and implemented by Al-Izza Company. The network consists of 142 thousand meters of length for sewage and 126 thousand meters of length for rainwater drainage. Rainwater will be pumped into the drains and sewage will be pumped into the central treatment unit.”
She pointed out that “the project will contribute to preserving the environment and providing opportunities for the unemployed, in addition to improving the services of the district. It is hoped that the project will be fully completed in 2027.”
