“Baghdadi Derby” ends in a draw in the first match at Al-Shaab Stadium after its rehabilitation

/ Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and its guest Al-Talaba tied in a popular summit, on Sunday evening, within the competitions of the eleventh round of the Iraqi Premier League for football.

The match took place at 7 pm at Al-Shaab International Stadium, after its opening after its rehabilitation.

The first half ended in a positive tie with one goal for each team. Al-Talaba scored first in the 30th minute through Nihad Mohammed, and the equalizing goal came for Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya in the 36th minute through Youssef Fawzi.

The second half did not witness any change in the match until the referee blew the whistle announcing the end, except for the referee showing eight yellow cards to both teams and one red card to the Air Force team.

Prior to the “derby” match between Al Talaba and Al Quwa Al Jawiya, the opening ceremony for the rehabilitation of Al Shaab International Stadium was held, which was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The opening witnessed various artistic segments and honoring a number of administrative figures who worked in this stadium over the previous years.
