The Frenchman is still 21 points ahead of Aleix Espargaro after experiencing disappointment in Assen.

Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) easily won the Dutch Grand Prix on Sunday in Assen, benefiting from the abandonment of Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha), still leader of the MotoGP world championship. The Italian Marco Bezzechi (Ducati-VR46) and the Spaniard Maverick Vinales (Aprilia) complete the podium of this 11th Grand Prix out of 20, which saw Quartararo fall twice and abandon at mid-race.
