Bags and more from Liebeskind in Frankfurt

by time news

Whe is interested in fashion, has already heard of the Berlin handbag brand Liebeskind. The label, founded in 2003, puts design and functionality in the foreground, according to its own statements. It was brought to life by three founders: the twins Johannes and Julian Rellecke and Semih Simsek, but they sold the label seven years ago. Like the brands Comma, Copenhagen Studios and QS, Liebeskind now belongs to the S.Oliver Group. With more than 20 locations throughout Germany and its headquarters in Berlin, the bag specialist is located in the middle to higher price segment – and has recently moved to Frankfurt’s Goethestraße.

In April he moved into the former shop space of Uli Knecht. Located adjacent to Jil Sander, Tod’s, Stone Island and other premium boutiques, the 300 square meter store has interior details that reinforce the brand’s clean, contemporary style. The price range for a bag is between 180 and 800 euros, the range includes companions for every occasion, from more casual everyday life to a classy reception, and for every purpose: there are also purses and cell phone cases, as well as a large selection of backpacks, often in sophisticated cuts.

But what remains the same for all bags is the material: 100 percent genuine leather in different variations is the trademark of the Berlin brand. In the shop window, for example, there is a large shopper made of lambskin. Compared to calfskin, which has a fine grain, lambskin has a particularly smooth surface. The inner lining of almost all models is made of cotton. In recent years, Liebeskind has also positioned itself attractively for younger customers, so the range of offers is very broad. In addition to bags, there are also accessories such as sunglasses, watches, jewelery and belts on Goethestraße. And that too for smaller purses. Prices vary between 350 euros for the gold chain and 60 euros for the leather belt.

Liebeskind Berlin, Goethestrasse 35, Frankfurt. Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
