Bahraini journalist: Iran is behind the protests

“I heard the Persian language in the demonstrations for the first time when they shouted ‘Death to the USA’, and this shows that Iran is behind them,” says a Bahraini journalist who spoke to the Israeli media in reference to the protests against the Hanukkah events in the country

The Bahraini journalist Ehadiya Ahmed, who participated in the Hanukkah holiday celebrations in Bahrain, spoke today (Wednesday) on the half-day program in Khan Network B with Roy Kays. In the interview, Ahmed came out strongly against the demonstrations in the far-flung kingdom in recent days against Israel and against the celebration of the Hanukkah holiday and accused Iran of being behind them.

“For the first time I heard the Persian language in the demonstrations in Bahrain when they shouted death to the United States and this shows that Iran is behind these demonstrations. It is very unfortunate, but I think our relations with Israel are much bigger than a hundred or 150 people who go out on the street and condemn these relations,” Ahmed said . She added: “I think that everything that is happening indicates that the blow that Iran received was very large due to the relations between Israel and Bahrain and the Emirates. The Abraham Accords still hurt Iran’s loyalists.”

As I recall, in recent days there have been several small demonstrations in Bahrain. Both in the capital Manama and outside it, chants against Israel were heard and signs were raised against the celebration of Hanukkah in the Persian Kingdom, under the caption: “Hanukkah is an official Zionist project for our occupation” and “Hanukkah is a Zionist project and a plan for normalization.”
