Sandeep Tiwari, Lucknow: Former Bahujan Samaj Party MP Haji Fazlur Rahman joined the Samajwadi Party on Thursday. Along with this, a large number of BSP workers also took membership of the SP. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav got everyone enrolled in the SP. Fazlur Rahman, born on 30 November 1951 in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, did his graduation from Aligarh Muslim University. Fazlur Rahman is considered to be very active in Western UP. He also has political hold in Western UP.
Although he was not in the news much, former BSP MP from Saharanpur Haji Fazlur Rahman has also been a councilor. Apart from this, he also contested the mayoral election from Saharanpur, but could not win the election. When he contested the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, luck favored him and he became an MP. After joining, he said that he met former Akhilesh Yadav in the last Lok Sabha. He is a simple person like the common people. I joined the party after seeing the policy of SP and Akhilesh’s vision. We have joined SP with the aim of serving the Samajwadi Party and Akhilesh.
