Kozhikode> A girl who was in the first year class of Kozhikode Medical College for four days without getting admission to MBBS appeared at the Medical College police station on Friday along with her parents. The child was released on the bail of his parents.
The class of first year students started on November 29. For the first four days, the 19-year-old from Koduvalli, who had completed Plus Two, was in the class. The name of the child who appeared in the attendance list was not in the register of admissions. A child who is not accounted for is found by comparing the two lists. With that, the girl drowned.
The boy said that he was on a trip to Goa when the result of the NEET exam came out and he checked the result on his mobile phone. Thinking that he got admission with a rank of 15,000, he informed everyone in the country and his friends and relatives spread the word on social media. But when he came back home, he realized that he was not admitted. The boy also told the police that he shared the photos of him in the MBBS class on social media to hide the joke.
250 students get admission here every year. 170 people came in the first allotment. The rest got admission after two weeks. A few of them came to class late after last Monday’s holiday. Since it was the class time, the name was entered in the register without checking the documents. It was only after that that the lists were checked and an extra child was identified.
