It has been reported that Bajaj is planning to develop an electric version of the Bajaj Pulsar, a popular two-wheeler model among the youth.
Rakesh Sharma, Managing Director, Bajaj, who was present at the recent launch of the vehicle, said, “We are focusing on manufacturing both electric and fuel-powered vehicles.”
Accordingly, Bajaj is currently offering the Chetak electric scooter for sale in the Indian market. This has been very well received by the Indians. The company’s productivity has been welcomed as bookings are many times higher than capacity.
Bajaj is also considering making electric vehicles for the electric version of the Pulsar and the KTM-Husqvarna. Therefore, the situation has developed that the details of these electric vehicles can be released at any time.
The Bajaj Pulsar bike is already well received among the youth and adults alike. As such, it is hoped that the release of the electric version of the Bajaj Pulsar will give Bajaj a huge foothold in the electric vehicle market.
Expect this electric Pulsar to have the same chassis and body panels given in the old Pulsar. The brakes and suspension can be given the same without modification. But expect a few interesting changes from the release in the electric version.
