Today, under the joint organization of the Baku Youth and Sports Department and the Azerbaijan Shooting Federation, the Baku Shotgun Championship started.
İdman.biz reports that the competition, which will last four days, will include individual and mixed team competitions in round and trench shooting events.
At the competitions, which will be held at the Baku Shooting Center, more than 50 athletes representing various sports clubs will join the fight for the championship. The final round in all types and categories will be held according to the latest rules of the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF).
The main goal of organizing competitions is to promote shooting sports and increase interest in this sport, organize mass participation, identify promising athletes and form the composition of the national shooting team, which will represent our country at international competitions next year.
On September 25, the official training process of the athletes will take place, on September 26-27 – individual competitions and the final meeting between women and men in circle and trench skeet shooting, and on September 28, mixed team competitions will take place. At the end of the competition, an award ceremony will take place for the winners.
