Excellent characters, solid screenplays and, above all, many of the best films born under his direction. That is what artist Balachandra Menon has gifted to the audience. Balachandra Menon’s films that have bravely portrayed the solo movement in Malayalam cinema have always been on the hit list of the audience. Now the post shared by Balachandra Menon on social media on Vishu Day is noteworthy.

Balachandra Menon shared some beautiful moments when he met Navya Nair and singer Jayachandran at the Crowne Plaza. Jayachandran has come up with a new gen look by challenging all the barriers of age. Good moments shared in the past with a beloved singer. I also remember acting as a father in Navya’s first Malayalam movie .. Balachandra Menon remembers.

‘As usual, when I walk around the Vishu celebrations and arrive at the Crowne Plaza at 10 am, I see a snare for Malayalam lyricist Jayachandran. Sakshal Jayachandran in a new gen gesture challenging all the barriers of age. Suddenly, many encounters became clear in my mind. Jayan smashes Ayyappan Kovil in Mahalingapuram, Madras (Jayachandran became Jayan for me too, even though he is over ten years old, because of the youth of the songs he sang).

When he was in college, he was a big fan of singer Jayachandran. Jayan, who was staying at Hotel Pangro in Madras as a director, would come to my room for breakfast if I found out. Then there is a song festival. I just have to sing the song one by one..the melody is starting. Jayan and I did something that no one else in the world did. This man sang ten songs that Jayan broke and he also sang them in front of Jayan. He recorded it on camera and made an album called ‘Patanenthu Sukham’. I respect Jayan’s great mind which encouraged my passion more than the adventure I showed to sing.

Jayan has always been an integral part of my direction, production and music. ‘The list goes on and on. ‘We need to get together as before. All the songs were sung.

Having said that, here comes Navyanayar who has made his presence known again through VK Prakash’s ‘Oruthi’. ‘Don’t you know them? Jayan’s question. Navya burst out laughing in response. There is a reason for that. Navya’s first Malayalam movie was ‘Ishtam’. She became the heroine of Dileep. In it, he played the role of a ‘guest’ as Navya’s father. In other words, in the vernacular, in the language that everyone understands, Navya Nair’s ‘First Tanta in Cinema!’

The trio decided not to take a step forward without taking a selfie as things were so bad. You saw the picture that was born like that. ‘One fire’ in ‘Good morning’.! My phone rings when I stand like that. Radhakrishna Kurup, the producer of my first film ‘Uthratharathri’, is Kurup Chettan! He called to let me know that my ‘filmy FRIDAYS’ Season 3 will start on April 18 itself. The next question when assured.

‘When do you see one? What’s up? I was overjoyed. Two of my favorites who want to get together. If a producer I met in 1976 wants to see me again in 2022, this Vishu is giving me a good message. That is the message that Jayachandran and Kurup Chettan are giving. Must see It should look like the past. We need to get together. May our harvest be like this on this Vishu day. Make a list of friends you want to meet.
