Balad is the left’s last hope: “We will rise up with the government of change”

by time news

After the results of the polls and the predictions of a victory for the right-wing bloc led by Binyamin Netanyahu were announced, there is still concern on the right that the Balad party will finally pass the blocking percentage, which could result in the right-wing bloc not having the 61 mandates to form a right-wing government.

“Go to sleep with Bibi Ben Gabir and we will wake up with the continuation of the government of change”

Labor Party candidate Yaya Fink wrote on Twitter that he has not lost hope of getting up tomorrow morning when the change government will continue to serve and will still be able to form a government. This is what he wrote on Twitter: “We will go to sleep with Bibi Ben Gabir and wake up with the continuation of the government of change. Take a deep breath.” When he alludes to the fact that if Balad passes the blocking percentage, this will block the possibility of a right-wing government.

The story of Ram from the previous elections

As I remember, in the previous elections the right had 61 mandates the night after the elections while Ra’am did not pass. In the morning Ra’am had already passed the threshold and reduced the right to 59 seats. According to how it looks now, Balad’s chance of passing the blocking percentage is not clear, but it is possible.

On the other hand, others express hope that Balad will not exceed the percentage of blocking and it does not matter how it will affect the map of the blocs. In a tweet on Twitter, Avi Benyahu wrote: “I will say clearly and briefly: I hope that Balad will not exceed the percentage of blocking and that its extremist representatives will not sit in the Knesset – and I’m interested in how this affects the political blocs. The State of Israel bloc is the important one.”
