Surya, who had previously accused Ambasamudram ASP Balveersingh of pulling out his tooth, has now informed the investigation that he actually broke his tooth during a fall. Balveersingh, who hails from Haryana, has been accused of forcibly removing the teeth of more than 14 individuals during interrogation sessions and then feeding them pebbles. The incident is being looked into by Cheranmahadevi Sub Collector Mohammad Sabir Alam, who recently questioned Surya at his office. Surya had been apprehended by the police for damaging a CCTV camera with stones, and had initially filed the complaint against Balveersingh. However, during the investigation, he admitted to breaking his tooth due to a fall and not due to an assault by the police. After questioning six more individuals, the investigation is ongoing.
